PLUS
Can use the connective classrooms equipment
Can "trouble shoot" fairly well
Children at Calare were very interested in Molong Central School as it has a high school attached.
The novel "Space Demons" is a great novel to study.
Wonderful to begin understanding the new equipment.
Students from Millthorpe enjoyed travelling to OEPS to learn.

OPS children have good knowledge of equipment and how it works
OPS teacher has increasing knowledge of how to use connected classroom
Photostory3 was a popular tool for students to master they have gon on to teach their families how to make one.
Great way to get Stage 3 class to work together
students enjoyed lookng at the novel The Lost Thing and other works of Shaun Tan

BPS students found conversing with students from other schools exciting. They looked forward to the sessions each week.
Better knowledge of the connected classrooms equipment - able to troubleshoot with other staff memebers.
Student's knowledge of photostory extended.
Students able to sucessfully work together to createa piece of work.

connecting with others to create a broader learning community (BOB)
good opportunity to engage in collaborative learning activities greater familiarity of connected classroom equipment

MINUS
The additional tasks took a lot of class time -these were aimed at using equipment not literacy.
Time frame was to short to complete tasks.
The different platforms eg Calare has Macs so we should have had an i movie lesson instead of story book

No equipment at Millthorpe to support Connected Classroom Lessons.
Activities did take a lot of time, thought the students were engaged and very busy.
Students didn't get the chance to meet their other connected classes face to face
Too much time involved
sessions weren't really interactive - a lot of students sitting listening
didn't fit in well with what we were already doing in class - it was an extra
tasks did not provide anything new for the students eg creating photostory did not really extend our students as it is something they do anyway
involvement should challenge all students to achieve higher order thinking and create new opportunities - this did not occur
didn't cater for the differences in schools - ie where they were at as far as technology use / expertise / units of work being studied
did not provide the oppportunity to utilise local expertise that we have within our schools
online learning is different from face to face - requiring different strategies etc - these need to be considered to ensure taht this particular learning environment achieves its maximum potential
relevance was low

INTERESTING
Sharing ideas
Looking at how Sarah arranged her unit of work in smartboard format
To observe other teachers'ideas and strategies.
Great science fiction resource from Sarah.
Limitless posibilities of learning presentations as a result of students mastering the use of Photostory3.
Ganing confidence in use and intergration of technologies across the curriculum.
chance to network with others
concept is great - good for schools to share
